Remembering Bob Kelty
Radio Enigmotologist Bob Kelty passed away on March 30, 2020 at 8pm after an illness. Bob had devoted his life to the pursuit of mobile two way radio communications in large part in public safety. In his career he was a dispatcher, technician, and service manager.
In "retirement" he opened a business MOBILE RADIO RESOURCES where he became the author of many books memorializing his research in radio communications frequencies. The books known as GOVERNMENT RADIO SYSTEMS were widely known and distributed.
Another service provided by MRR was two way radio licensing and frequency allocation and co-ordination. He was very well known and respected in this field.
In 2010 he was pursued by Share-A-Vision Productions to work on a movie memorializing the history and antiquity of public safety communications. He was a key player in the movie "Calling All Cars". Some clips of that movie are contained in this video remembering Bob. We hope you enjoy it.
